Bulletins:

Ring operation: Everyday 24 hours/day. We are currently operating the machine at 1.3 GeV with the Wiggler at 7 Tesla. Beam stabilization control is running during all fills.

*HELPFUL HINT*

Operators are generally only in the control room during injections. Try their office lines at other times when needed.

Announcements:

Presently, we are still reconditioning and reinjecting around 50mA. Injections are infrequent. Users may use the light but keep in mind we are still trying to stabilize the machine. This is not set user light time.

 

**NOTE**The beam will be down for two weeks starting July 28th for ring maintenance. This will be followed by two weeks of vacuum conditioning, which may be used by users. Note however, there will be frequent injections and poor lifetime. Check back for updates as this time approaches. Thank you.**

  • For requirements outside the normal scheduled hours, please contact Amitava Roy , (225.578.6706), for basic science requests.  For Lithography needs contact Jost Goettert , (225.578.4666). Transmit your requirements prior to the operations meeting at 14:00 Thursdays.
