Please extend a warm welcome to Danqing (say Dan-chin) Liu, , a graduate student in Physics, University of Bonn, visiting CAMD for a month. A native of Jiangxi, China, Danqing is interested in studying the impact of temperature changes on the structure of nanocatalysts. He began his experimental work at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany, and is here to work with the X-ray group. Danqing likes to create and play with radio control models and listen to classical music and opera.
Let’s welcome Henning Lichtenberg, who now joins CAMD as a post-doctoral researcher. Henning just earned his Ph. D in Physics, University of Bonn, Germany. While at CAMD, Henning will investigate the application of X-ray absorption micro-spectroscopy to biological sciences and also will help the X-ray staff in working with users. In his spare time, as many of you know, Henning likes to scout around for culinary delights, explore the swamps, read literature, listen to music, and practice the martial arts. Dr. Lichtenberg did a large part of his thesis research here at CAMD, so “Welcome back, Henning!”
Welcome to CAMD!
