Research Associate 3

Required Qualifications: (Research Associate 3) Master’s of Science degree OR Bachelor’s of Science degree, with two years experience in ME, ECE, Engineering Science or related areas that involve MEMS fabrication and applications, preferably with electrical circuit control background; hands-on experience in cleanroom and basic lithography equipment operations; knowledge of experimental data acquisition automation and simple programming. (Postdoctoral Researcher) Ph.D. in ME, ECE, Engineering Science or related areas that involve MEMS fabrication and applications, preferably with electrical circuit control background; excellent understanding of microfabrication processing; experience utilizing LIGA techniques.

Additional Qualifications Desired: (Both Levels) Ability to work with cross-functional technical teams; excellent oral and written communication skills; pro-active and self-directed; team player.

Responsibilities: conducts/designs microfabrication processing routines for project; performs LIGA/LIGA-like/Si-fabrication techniques to fabricate micro heat transfer samples; designs/performs the customized micro-heat-transfer experiment.

Appointment is initially for one year with continuation based upon funding availability and performance. Salary and level will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
